Stay in our Apartments in Florence, Italy
St Mark’s Church, Florence is situated in an early 16th-century palazzo, two-minutes’ walk from the famous Ponte Vecchio and the historic centre. You really couldn’t find a better location in Florence. We have seven short-term (max. 4 weeks) apartments available for friends and supporters of the church, all with wifi, on a suggested donation basis to cover costs and to contribute to our chaplaincy.
The building is a very “musical” one, with the strains of opera singing, piano or harpischord music and choir voices floating up the stairs. It is a perfect location for music lovers with events taking place most evenings.
Please note, there is no lift in the building and the apartments are on the second to fourth floor, with the exception of the Studio and White Room which are on the chaplaincy level (first floor).
Flat 5 ‘William Morris’, on the fourth floor, has a bedroom, sitting room (with sofabed), separate kitchen, bathroom (shower) and balcony, which overlooks the splendour of Brunelleschi’s Basilica of Santo Spirito. Minimum stay 3 nights.
Flat 3 ‘Fra Angelico’, on the fourth floor, is a one-bedroom apartment with a double bedroom, bathroom with bath and overhead shower, kitchen with washing machine, sitting room and small study/spare room (with bunk-bed). Minimum stay one week.
Flat 2 ‘Medici’ is a luxurious, spacious and bright two-bedroom apartment on the third floor. The spacious master bedroom is en-suite with a frescoed ceiling, while the guest double bedroom is smaller but also en-suite. There is a beautiful sitting room with frescoed ceiling, dining room with large table for entertaining, and a well equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, etc.). There is air-conditioning and heating.
Flat 1 ‘Michelangelo’, on the third floor, is an airy, spacious apartment with a double bedroom, sitting room with mezzanine floor and twin beds, bathroom with bath and overhead shower, and fully equipped kitchen with washing machine. Minimum stay one week.
The White Room A twin-bedded room with private bathroom, no kitchen but communal kitchen on first floor available to use, plus use of courtyard. Loads of storage space, but no view.
In all cases, we ask for a donation to cover the costs of cleaning, maintenance and the support of our Chaplaincy as a whole.

St Mark’s receives no financial support from the Church of England, or from local or national Governments. We reply entirely on the generosity of those who use our premises or benefit from our ministry. Such donations are vital to our continued outreach and ministry, as well as cultural activities, here in Florence and beyond. Thank you.
We welcome house trained dogs. Please speak to the Administrator regarding the supplement.
