A unique Venue in Florence

At St Mark’s we consider our facilities to be a place of meeting or gathering. If you want to connect with people who love art, music, literature or indeed, want to share a love of God in all (or none) of these ways, then we want to encourage you to consider us as a venue for your work. There are many opportunities for visiting choirs, orchestras, artists and academics that can be accessed through our centrally-located building in one of Europe’s most historic and renowned cities. Florence – the birthplace of the Renaissance and of so much that our contemporary world takes for granted. We hope, also, that this can be a platform for your own endeavour. It may be an exhibition of art, a performance in the church or other more intimate public rooms, or indeed a lecture or presentation.

We are very familiar in working with diverse groups of people and providing the necessary publicity and support for such events. With sufficient notice, your event can also be included in our Cultural Programme which benefits from the Patrocinio of the City.

St Mark’s is home to two antique Bechstein pianos – a grand piano located in the church, and an upright piano in our Salone. The church is also home to an organ, built by the Italian firm Bevilacqua.

There is also a certain amount of accommodation available in the Palazzo and room for storage/rehearsal, as required. We ask for a donation to support our facilities, in line with our annual Table of Fees and Donations, but our commitment is firstly to your aspirations and to the building of the local and International community who surround us and who come here to deepen their lives and experience.

If you would like to know more about our facilities and opportunities in our calendar for a well-attended concert in Florence, then please get in touch with our Director of Music, or our Administrator, who can discuss your needs.

On the Piano Nobile, our beautiful reception rooms are available to hire for functions. The 15th Century Salone and Dining Room, as well as the Cortile, will provide the perfect setting for your event. Please contact our Administrator for more information.
