Stay in our Apartments in Florence, Italy

St Mark’s Church, Florence, is situated in an early 16th-century palazzo, just a five-minute walk from the famous Ponte Vecchio and the historic centre.

We have two short-term (max. 4 weeks) apartments available all year round, on a suggested donation basis to cover costs and to contribute to our chaplaincy.

We have another four apartments available in July and August – information on request.

Please note, there is no lift in the building.

William Morris (Flat 5)

On the fourth floor, this apartment has a bedroom, sitting room (with sofabed), kitchen/diner, bathroom (shower) and balcony, which overlooks the splendour of Brunelleschi’s Basilica of Santo Spirito. Minimum stay 3 nights.

The White Room 

A twin-bedded room with private bathroom. Communal kitchen on first floor available to use, plus use of courtyard. Ample storage space, but no view onto the street outside.

Flat 1

Flat 1 ‘Michelangelo’, on the third floor, is an airy, spacious apartment with a double bedroom, sitting room with mezzanine floor and twin beds, bathroom with bath and overhead shower, and fully equipped kitchen with washing machine. Minimum stay one week.

Flat 2

Flat 2 ‘Medici’ is a luxurious, spacious and bright two-bedroom apartment on the third floor. The spacious master bedroom is en-suite with a frescoed ceiling, while the guest double bedroom is smaller but also en-suite. There is a beautiful sitting room with frescoed ceiling, dining room with large table for entertaining, and a well equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, etc.). There is air-conditioning and heating.

Flat 3

Flat 3 ‘Fra Angelico’, on the fourth floor, is a two-bedroom apartment with a double bedroom, bathroom with bath and overhead shower, kitchen with washing machine, sitting room and small study/spare room (with bunk-bed). Minimum stay one week.

Flat 6

A lovely self-contained apartment with a single mezzanine room and one sofa bed, a living/dining area, kitchen and bathroom.

 

In all cases, we ask for a donation to cover the costs of cleaning, maintenance and the support of our Chaplaincy as a whole.

We welcome house-trained dogs.

St Mark’s receives no financial support from the Church of England, or from local or national Governments. We rely entirely on the generosity of those who use our premises or benefit from our ministry.
