There is a hugely important role for music in Christian worship and in many aspects of Christian witness and prayer. Music is a unique way of bringing people together – regardless of backgrounds – and building community spirit. At St Mark’s, we value music very highly, with choral Eucharist every week (Sundays at 10:30am) and bi-monthly recitals. See below for future recital dates.

CHOIR

Set within a European capital of art and culture, it is not surprising that St Mark’s has a big music scene. At the heart of the music scene at St Mark’s is our choir. The St Mark’s Choir sings for our weekly Sunday morning worship and for major Festivals, as well as performing a monthly evensong. At Christmas each year, our choir goes carol singing in the local area and performs a Christmas concert at the nearby British Institute. Our choir is a welcoming group and we have a community of singers from across the world.

You may only be staying in Florence for a short time, but if you are someone who enjoys singing and being a part of a group of people who enjoy making music together, then please get in touch with our Director of Music.
