St Michael’s Prep School would like to express our sincere gratitude for the very warm welcome and support that we have received from St Mark’s English Church, Florence, and to say a special thanks for the kind help provided by Father. Chris Williams and his entire team.

We were delighted to discover a very special connection between our school in Otford, Kent and St Mark’s, Florence as both institutions were founded in the 1800’s by two brothers. Father Arthur Tooth founded St Michael’s in 1872, originally as an orphanage, and just a few years later in 1881 his brother, Reverend Charles Tooth, founded St Mark’s English Church on Via Maggio, Florence.

Thank you for supporting our concert today and we very much hope that you have enjoyed our short programme of music.

La St Michael’s Prep School desidera esprimere la nostra sincera gratitudine per la calorosa accoglienza e il sostegno che abbiamo ricevuto dalla Chiesa inglese di San Marco, Firenze, e ringraziare in modo speciale per il gentile aiuto fornito dal Padre. Chris Williams e tutta la sua squadra.

Siamo stati lieti di scoprire un legame molto speciale tra la nostra scuola di Otford, Kent e St Mark’s, Florence poiché entrambe le istituzioni sono state fondate nel 1800 da due fratelli. Padre Arthur Tooth fondò St Michael's nel 1872, originariamente come orfanotrofio, e solo pochi anni dopo, nel 1881, suo fratello, il Revd. Charles Tooth, fondò la chiesa inglese di San Marco in Via Maggio, a Firenze.
