Baptism
Baptism or ‘Christening’ is a very important
rite of passage.
It is where parents and God parents promise to God to bring up their child in the Christian faith.
It is the start of the Christian faith journey.
It usually takes place within the Choral Eucharist Service, so the whole congregation can promise to pray and support the family.

Confirmation
Confirmation is when a person decides
to ‘own’ for themselves, the promises
made on their behalf at baptism.
This is a very personal, and yet
public declaration of their own faith.
The person confirming their own faith
is anointed with oil by the Bishop, and it can
be done during the Choral Eucharist service,
where the family, friends and congregation,
promise to support and encourage them,
on their journey of faith.

Marriage
Weddings are a wonderful opportunity for a couple to celebrate their love for each other, surrounded by family and friends.
Wedding blessings can take place in the beautiful St Mark’s Church with the Pre-Raphaelite stencils and the Venetian and Russian lamps in the nave and in front of the altar.
Father Chris can also take a wedding blessing elsewhere in Tuscany.
